211 Finger Lakes - 2-1-1 is a free, confidential three digit phone number, available 24 hours a day, everyday, connecting you to a local call center with specialists trained to provide you information and referrals to human services that best address your needs.

American Academy of Pediatrics- The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and its member pediatricians dedicate their efforts and resources to the health, safety and well-being of infants, children, adolescents and young adults. The AAP has approximately 60,000 members in the United States, Canada and Latin America. Members include pediatricians, pediatric medical subspecialists and pediatric surgical specialists. More than 34,000 members are board-certified and called Fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP).


Baby Sign Languague - Baby sign language is a great way to help you communicate with your pre-verbal baby. Baby sign language helps babies that are ready to communicate, but can’t quite bridge the gap to full speech. Baby sign language has numerous benefits. Most importantly, signing is a lot of fun and helps you bond with your child. Research also shows that babies that utilize sign language get a great start in life – with increased vocabularies and more advanced cognitive skills, even years after they have stopped signing.

Cancer Services Program
 - The Cancer Services Program provides breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screenings at no cost to men and women who: do not have health insurance or have health insurance that does not cover the cost of these screenings, cannot afford to pay for these services, meet income eligibility and age requirements and live in New York State.

 

Child Care Aware of America To promote national policies and partnerships to advance the development and learning of all children and to provide vision, leadership, and support to community Child Care Resource & Referral. 

 

Child Care Nutrition Resource System  -  provides information to persons working in the USDA's Child Nutrition Programs.

Child Care Exchange
  For over 30 years, Exchange has promoted the exchange of ideas among leaders in early childhood programs worldwide through its magazine, books, training products, training seminars, and international conferences.

Council of Professional Recognition - CDA  The Council promotes improved performance and recognition of professionals in early childhood care and education — the people who work with children from birth through five years of age in early childhood centers, family child care homes, and as home visitors. The Council sets the policies and procedures for assessment and credentialing, publishes the Competency Standards and other material used for CDA credentialing, and administers the assessment.

Early Care and Learning Council
  High quality early care and learning programs are critical to the healthy development of children and to the economic health of communities.  The Early Care & Learning Council is a statewide organization that works to increase the quality, affordability and capacity of the early care and learning field and does so through training and technical assistance, data management and advocacy initiatives. AfterSchool Works! New York
-  AfterSchool Works! New York is the official state affiliate of the National Afterschool Association and serves as a non-profit membership association for afterschool professionals in New York State. Through an extensive network of intermediaries, training organizations and child care resource and referral agencies, we provide information, training, credentialing and support to afterschool professionals in order to build high-quality, sustainable afterschool programs that meet the needs of children, youth and their families

 New York State has a health insurance plan for kids, called Child Health Plus. Depending on your family's income. More information including income qualifications can be found on the Department of Health website.
